Dr. Ram Prasad Bhatta is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of smart functional materials, particularly stimuli-responsive Aggregation-Induced Emission (AIE)-active materials. These materials, including organic, polymer, and composite systems, are engineered for applications such as self-healing materials, VOCs sensors, and mechanofluorochromic (MFC) materials for pressure sensing. His current work involves developing turn-on MFC materials for surface pressure imaging and stress detection.
