Adamidis Orestis

Orestis Adamidis is an Associate Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Engineering Science. His research focuses on element-level soil response under partially drained conditions, examining how soils behave under non-standard drainage scenarios. He has conducted studies on the deformation mechanisms of liquefiable soils during seismic events and investigated the impact of partial drainage on offshore foundation design. Adamidis has also explored liquefaction susceptibility in layered deposits and the interaction between liquefiable soils and shallow foundations.
