Janet Conrad

Janet Conrad is a Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Department of Physics (PHY). Her research focuses on searching for signatures of new particles, new forces, and new symmetries using neutrinos from MeV to PeV energy scales. She is involved in experiments such as MicroBooNE and IceCube, which explore neutrino properties and potential new physics beyond the Standard Model. Her work includes the study of neutrino oscillations and the search for sterile neutrinos. She is also engaged in developing high-power cyclotrons for decay-at-rest neutrino sources, such as IsoDAR and DAEδALUS. Her research spans experimental nuclear and particle physics, with a particular emphasis on neutrino experiments.
