Arup Chakraborty

Arup K. Chakraborty is the John M. Deutch Institute Professor and Professor of Chemical Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms underlying the immune response to pathogens for the design of better vaccines and exploring phase separation in gene regulation. Chakraborty is affiliated with multiple departments and centers at MIT, including the Physics of Living Systems @ MIT and the Institute for Medical Engineering & Science (IMES). His work integrates statistical physics, immunology, and virology to advance vaccine development and immunological research.
