William Bertozzi

William Bertozzi is a Professor of Physics, Emeritus, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Department of PHY. His research focuses on experimental electromagnetic nuclear physics, where he is recognized as a world leader and innovator. Bertozzi is the principal investigator leading the Nuclear Interactions Group at the MIT Laboratory for Nuclear Science, conducting experiments at the MIT Bates Linear Accelerator Center and other facilities. His work investigates the structure of nucleons and nuclei using high-energy electrons and photons as probes. He is also the inventor of the NRFI technology and a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
