Pedro Sander

Pedro Sander is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on Vision and Graphics, with an emphasis on geometry processing, real-time rendering, and graphics hardware. He is a citizen of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and lived in Brasília during his early life. He earned his Masters and PhD degrees from Harvard University after studying at Stony Brook University. Prior to joining HKUST, he was a senior member of the Application Research Group at ATI Research.

Pedro Sander is a researcher in Computer Graphics, focusing on advanced techniques for image and 3D animation processing. His work explores methods for improving visual quality and computational efficiency in graphics applications. Key areas include texture mapping, geometry images, and real-time shading optimization. He has contributed to the development of algorithms for deep exemplar-based colorization, deblur-nerf, and geometry videos. His research also addresses challenges in image rectification, illumination correction, and parallel data mining on graphics processors. These efforts aim to enhance the realism and performance of computer-generated imagery and visual data processing.
