Arpit Narechania

Arpit Narechania is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). His research focuses on human-computer interaction, visual analytics, and information visualization, with an emphasis on guidance systems, analytic provenance, natural language interfaces, and geovisualization. Prior to academia, Arpit worked as a founding engineer at multiple startups in the FinTech and EdTech sectors, contributing to digital governance initiatives for the Government of India. He has collaborated with industry leaders such as Adobe Research, Microsoft Research, and Ford Motor Company, leading interdisciplinary projects that have resulted in multiple patents, publications, and product integrations.
