Jiaya Jia is a Chair Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He joined the university in 2024 after previously serving as an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong from 2004 to 2015. His research focuses on Vision and Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, with specific interests in image/video understanding, large models, multi-modal AI, computational imaging, and generative AI.
