Prof. Xiaobo Yin is a Chair Professor of Sustainability Technology at The University of Hong Kong, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He holds the title of Chair Professor and is affiliated with the university's Mechanical Engineering department. His research interests include heat transfer, energy technologies, metamaterials, and nanofabrication. Prof. Yin has published over 100 journal articles with more than 19,000 citations and is recognized as one of the World’s Most Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics. His current research focuses on understanding energy-matter interactions and developing scalable, sustainable manufacturing technologies for applications in the climate-water-energy-food nexus. His work has been reported by various media outlets, including recognition of his passive radiative cooling research as one of the Top Ten Breakthroughs of 2017 by the Institution of Physics (IOP).
