Dong-Myeong Shin

Prof. Dong-Myeong Shin is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on developing self-powered nanoelectronics, with an emphasis on energy harvesting/storage devices and bioinspired electronics. His work includes flexible and stretchable energy harvesting and storage devices, triboelectric nanogenerators for mechanical energy harvesting, single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes for lithium metal batteries, and moisture energy harvesting for distributed electronics. Prior to joining HKU, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Research Center for Energy Convergence Technology at Pusan National University.
