Lizhi Xu

Prof. Lizhi Xu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on bio-inspired soft materials and devices, integrating biomimetic concepts into the engineering of nanocomposite materials to replicate the structures and functions of soft tissues. His work involves multiscale fabrication techniques to generate reconfigurable 3D structures, enabling the integration of advanced electronic components and biomaterials into organ-compliant forms. Research areas include biomimetic materials, biomedical devices, soft electronics, micro-/nano-fabrication, and artificial soft tissues.
