Regular biography
Professor Min Wang is a full professor at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and serves as the Programme Director of HKU’s Medical Engineering Programme. He earned BSc (1985) and PhD (1991) degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of London, respectively. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng, 1995, UK) and Chartered Scientist (CSci, 2005, UK). Professor Wang is an elected fellow of professional societies in the UK, Hong Kong, USA, and internationally. He has held academic positions at the University of London, Nanyang Technological University, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on biomedical materials, tissue engineering, and surface engineering, with a particular emphasis on nanotechnology and 3D printing.
