Regular biography
Ph.D. Maria Gorlatova is the James N. & Elizabeth H. Barton Associate Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Duke University. Her research focuses on architectures, algorithms, and protocols for emerging mobile pervasive systems and the Internet of Things, with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary approaches. She explores technologies such as energy harvesting, artificial intelligence for IoT, and augmented reality. Dr. Gorlatova earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and has held positions at Princeton University and various industry organizations. She teaches courses in edge computing, computer networks, and research projects in engineering.
