Andrew Douglas Hilton is a Professor of the Practice in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. He serves as the Director of Innovation in Computing Education at Pratt School of Engineering. His research focuses on computer architecture, particularly architectural support for security and energy-efficient performance. Hilton teaches courses in software engineering, compiler construction, and programming, including a 3-week introduction to Python for Duke's Master in Interdisciplinary Data Science. He has developed two Coursera specializations in Java and C. His work includes publications on microarchitecture, secure memory, and energy-efficient computing.
