Iman Marvian Mashhad

Iman Marvian Mashhad is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. His research focuses on quantum information and computation theory, with particular emphasis on quantum algorithms, quantum circuits, and quantum resource theories. He has contributed to various areas within this field, including symmetry-protected topological order and quantum error suppression. Marvian received his Ph.D. in Physics in 2012 from the University of Waterloo and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. Prior to joining Duke, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southern California and MIT. He is also a member of the Duke Quantum Center and has taught several courses related to quantum information science.
