Ph.D. Andy Bragg

Ph.D. Andy Bragg is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Duke University's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research focuses on the physics and modeling of turbulence and turbulent transport, including theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, and applied mathematics. Dr. Bragg's work explores the complex behavior of turbulent flows in natural and engineered systems, with applications in environmental health engineering, hydrology, and risk assessment. He has contributed to the development of models for large-scale numerical simulations of environmental flows, emphasizing the importance of understanding small-scale processes. Dr. Bragg obtained his Ph.D. in Theoretical Fluid Dynamics from Newcastle University and has held postdoctoral positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Cornell University.
