Sergio Chaves

Sergio Chaves is an Active Learning Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Mathematics at Cornell University. His research interests include Mathematics Education and Algebraic Topology, with a focus on the transformation of math education through technology and active learning methods. He is also passionate about group actions on topological spaces, employing approaches from equivariant cohomology and polyhedral products. Chaves has published work on equivariant cohomology for semidirect product actions and cyclic group actions on polyhedral products. His research contributes to the fields of topology and mathematics education.
