David Zywina

David Zywina is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Cornell University. His research focuses on number theory and arithmetic geometry, with an emphasis on the study of compatible Galois representations associated with arithmetic objects such as abelian varieties, modular forms, and Drinfeld modules. These representations are used to explore the arithmetic properties of the original objects and have applications to problems like the Inverse Galois Problem. His work includes publications on explicit class field theory, splitting fields of characteristic polynomials, and elliptic curves with maximal Galois action.
