Yunan Yang

Yunan Yang is the Goenka Family Assistant Professor in Mathematics at Cornell University's Department of Mathematics. Her research interests include Numerical Analysis, Inverse Problems, Optimal Transportation, Machine Learning, and Nonconvex Optimization. Her work focuses on computational mathematics, particularly developing numerical methods for computational inverse problems, machine learning, PDE-constrained optimization, global optimization, and computational optimal transport with data science applications. She has published in leading journals and conferences, including SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, The 40th International Conference on Machine Learning, and Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics.
