Regular biography
Philippe Sosoe is the Frank Spitzer and Narahari Umanath Prabhu Associate Professor of Mathematics at Cornell University, Department of Mathematics. His research interests include probability and statistics, with a focus on probabilistic models inspired by statistical mechanics, such as percolation, random matrices, and spin systems. He also explores analytic tools and partial differential equations. His work includes publications on sublinear variance in first-passage percolation and regularity conditions in the CLT for linear eigenvalue statistics of Wigner matrices. He teaches courses such as Probability Theory I and II, Stochastic Processes, and Supervised Research.
