Karola Mészáros is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Cornell University. Her research focuses on algebraic and geometric combinatorics, particularly the interplay between algebra, geometry, and combinatorics. She is interested in developing new perspectives on classical multivariate polynomials by recasting them in terms of polytopes. Her work explores connections between flow polytopes, generalized permutahedra, and Schubert polynomials, bringing new ideas to the study of these and related polynomials. She teaches courses such as Linear Algebra, Applicable Algebra, and Supervised Research.
