Khalil Ramadi is an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on developing innovative technologies for neuromodulation and microbiome sampling. Ramadi directs the Laboratory for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine at NYU Abu Dhabi. His work includes the development of ingestible devices for non-invasive neural stimulation and microbiome analysis. Notably, he co-created the CORAL capsule, an ingestible device inspired by marine coral structures, which enables passive sampling of bacteria from the small intestine. This technology aims to improve microbiome research and advance diagnostics for various diseases.
