Arezoo Hajesfandiari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at New York University. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran (2006), and master’s and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Buffalo (2010 and 2015, respectively). Her research involves size-dependent fluid mechanics theory and the numerical analysis of size-dependent continuum mechanics. She aims to use computational methods to bridge the fields of biology, biomedicine, and engineering for practical applications. Prior to her current title, she was a Visiting Associate Professor in Tandon’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She has also lectured at the University of Buffalo and worked in industry as an HVAC design engineer.
