Regular biography
Yujing Song is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He earned his B.S. in Energy Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2014, followed by his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2016 and 2020, respectively. Before joining NYU Tandon, Dr. Song completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan and worked as a Senior Research Scientist at 454 Bio. His research focuses on single-molecule detection, spatial transcriptomics and proteomics, point-of-care microfluidic devices, organ-on-chip systems, AI-driven biomarker-guided precision medicine, and targeted nanomedicine delivery. He is dedicated to building an interdisciplinary research team with expertise in chemical and molecular assays, instrumentation, micro- and nano-fabrication, mechatronics, optics, and machine learning applications in bioengineering.
