Regular biography
Sven Haverkamp is an Associate Professor at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He holds master's and doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Prior to his academic career, he worked as an engineer in product development for a car manufacturer and as an engineering consultant with over 30 international mechanical engineering-related projects. His professional experience spans the automotive and aerospace industries, with a focus on product design and development. He previously taught at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where he also advised the Motorsports Team.
