Regular biography
Weiqiang Chen is a Professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at New York University, where he also serves as Director of Research and PhD Programs. His research interests include Lab-on-a-Chip, Organ-on-Chip, biomaterials, mechanobiology, stem cell biology, cancer biology, systems immunology, and the application of microfabrication technology to study biological systems at the molecular and cellular levels. Chen has held various academic positions at New York University, including Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and has been recognized with several awards, including the American Heart Association Fellow and the Micro and Nanoengineering Young Investigator Award.
