Dr Bethania Antunes

Dr Bethania Antunes is an Associate Professor (Education) of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is Programme Director of the MSc Human Resources and Organisations. Her research focuses on sustainable human resource management and the social impact of corporate responsibility, particularly how organisations develop employees and contribute to their communities. Her current work explores employer-supported volunteering programs, examining their effects on employees, organisations, and communities. Funded by the British Academy, European Commission, and Low Pay Commission, her research addresses business challenges through collaboration with organisations, colleagues, and students. As an educator, she teaches human resource management and organisational behaviour at the postgraduate level, integrating case studies and experiential learning. Her background includes public relations consulting in the arts, nonprofit, and SME sectors, which informs her approach to organisational engagement and sustainable HR practices.
