Professor Ryan Lamare

Professor Ryan Lamare is a Professor of Employment Relations and Human Resource Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science, affiliated with the Department of Management. He joined the Department in August 2024. Prior to LSE, he was the Reuben G. Soderstrom International Labor Relations Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on quantitative empirical analyses of interactions between institutions and ERHR actors, with projects examining workplace actors and the political arena, private workplace conflict management systems, and macro-level shocks affecting work. He has published in top journals in HR and management, work sociology, law, and political science. He is currently Editor-in-Chief at the British Journal of Industrial Relations. His teaching includes courses in international HRM, strategic HRM, and workplace dispute resolution.
