Professor Sarah Ashwin

Professor Sarah Ashwin is a Professor of Comparative Employment Relations and Head of Department at the Department of Management, London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests include industrial relations, international labour standards, corporate social responsibility, gender and work, and the gender division of domestic labour. She graduated from Oxford with first class honours in History and completed an MSc in Russian Government and Politics at LSE. Her doctoral research at Warwick examined workers' organisation during Russia's political and economic transformation in the 1990s. Her work has been published in leading journals, including the American Journal of Sociology and the Journal of Marriage and Family. She continues to explore gender theory through the lens of Russia’s stalled gender revolution.
