Regular biography
Xia YIN is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. With a career spanning over two decades, Xia has contributed significantly to research areas including Future Internet Architecture, Formal Method, Protocol Testing and Measurement, and large-scale Internet Routing. Xia's work has involved leading projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 973 Program, and 863 Program. Notably, Xia's research has focused on next generation Internet protocol testing, large-scale IPv6 network testing, and addressing and routing technologies. Xia has also played a key role in the development of IPv6 core routers and the CNGI-CERNET/6IX project, which is the largest trial network in the CNGI project. Xia's contributions have been recognized through several awards, including the National Award for Science and Technology Progress.
