Regular biography
Wenguang CHEN is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. He joined the department in 2003 and has been involved in research areas including parallel computing, mobile computing, and compiler techniques. His work focuses on addressing challenges such as the programming wall, memory wall, debugging wall, and availability wall in parallel computing. He has also explored mobile computing, aiming to use cloud technologies to manage mobile devices. CHEN has led several research projects, including those funded by the National 863 High-Tech Program of China, Google, IBM, and nVidia. His research team has developed techniques for performance prediction in high-performance computing and has filed a U.S. patent with Intel. He has received multiple awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education.
