Regular biography
Shimin HU is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. He joined the department in 1998 and holds a faculty position within the Institute of Human-computer Interaction (HCI) and Media Integration. His research interests include computer graphics, geometric computing, intelligent information processing, and operating systems. His work has been published in leading journals and conferences such as ACM Transactions on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, and ACM SIGGRAPH. His research group focuses on the intelligent processing of visual media, including images, videos, and 3D geometry. He has also contributed to the development of security-focused operating system and middleware techniques. His academic achievements include numerous awards and recognitions, including the ChangJiang Professorship Award and the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Distinguished Young Scholar award.
