Regular biography
Pin TAO is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. His research interests include embedded multimedia processing, such as video coding technology, computer vision optimization on embedded systems, embedded software, and Internet of Things. He has contributed to video compression algorithms, parallel video coding and decoding, and indoor localization using computer vision. His work also involves embedded software design with a focus on real-time performance, security, and power management. TAO has published several patents and research papers in international conferences. He joined the department in 2002 and is affiliated with the Institute of Human-computer Interaction (HCI) and Media Integration.
