Jie TANG

Jie TANG is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. He joined the department in 2006 and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Technology from Tsinghua University. His research interests include AI, social network analysis, data mining, machine learning, and knowledge graph technologies. TANG has led several national and international research projects, including work on knowledge discovery in databases and social network analysis. He is the principal investigator of multiple national projects and has contributed to the development of systems such as ArnetMiner and xuetangx.com. His work has been published in top-tier conferences and journals, including KDD, WWW, and TKDE.

Tang Jie is a WeBank Chair Professor at Tsinghua University, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Social Networks, Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Knowledge Graph. His research focuses on developing advanced techniques for social network analysis, including the extraction and mining of academic social networks. He has contributed significantly to the field of pre-trained language models, such as GLM and ChatGLM, and has explored self-supervised learning, prompt tuning, and text-to-image generation. His work also includes social influence analysis and graph neural networks, with notable contributions to methods like Graph Contrastive Coding and GraphMAE.
