Regular biography
Jianping WU is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. With a career spanning over four decades, he has been deeply involved in research and teaching in computer networks, Internet architecture, and protocol theory. His work includes leading major national projects such as the CERNET demonstration project and the development of IPv6 core routers, which significantly advanced China's Internet infrastructure. He has also contributed to international standards and collaborations, including his role in the Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN). His research has received numerous awards, including National Science and Technology Progress Awards for his contributions to CERNET and IPv6 technologies.
