Haizhou AI is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on computer vision and pattern recognition, with notable contributions to object detection, tracking, and face recognition. He has taught courses such as Digital Image Processing and Computer Vision at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His work includes developing high-performance face detection algorithms and has been applied in various products. He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence and CVPR. He has also translated two renowned textbooks into Chinese and received awards such as the Tsinghua University Second Class Prize of Excellent Teaching Software and the Best Student Paper Prize in CVPR 2007.
