Regular biography
Fuchun SUN is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. He joined the department in 1998 and has been engaged in research areas such as intelligent control and robotics, guidance and control for mobile robots and spacecrafts, networked control systems, and information sensing and processing in artificial cognitive systems. His research has been supported by various national projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National 863 High-Tech Program. SUN has supervised 20 master's and 15 Ph.D. students and has contributed to the development of flexible-link robot test-beds and teleoperation systems for space on-orbit services. He has published numerous papers and authored two monographs, while also filing several patent applications.
