Regular biography
Dr. Zhongqiang Yang is a Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on the fabrication of liquid crystal materials and their applications in actuators, artificial muscles, and soft robots. Dr. Yang earned his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Wilhelm T. S. Huck and his M.S. in Polymer Chemistry from Jilin University under Prof. Fengqi Liu. He has held various research positions, including as an Associate Professor at Tsinghua University since 2016. His work has been published in several high-impact journals, contributing to advancements in soft robotics and smart materials.
