Regular biography
Prof. Aijun Tong is a Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. She received her B.S. in Chemistry from Xinjiang University in 1983, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Meisei University, Tokyo, Japan. She joined Tsinghua University as a Lecturer in 1992 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1996 and Professor in 2003. Her research focuses on the development of novel fluorescence analytical methods for bioimaging, disease diagnosis, and therapy, with an emphasis on single-cell mechanisms. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, including work on fluorescent probes, sensors, and functional materials for bioimaging and detection. Her teaching includes courses in Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, and Advanced Analytical Chemistry.
