Yufen Zhao

Prof. Yufen Zhao is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. She holds a B.Sc. from Taiwan Tsinghua University (1971) and a Ph.D. from State University of New York at Stony Brook (1975). She has been a professor of organic chemistry at Tsinghua University since 1988 and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991. Her research interests include chemical biology, organo-phosphorus chemistry, origin of life, and medicinal chemistry. She is also affiliated with Xiamen University as a professor of chemistry.
