Regular biography
Prof. Xinping Qiu is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on advanced power sources, including lithium ion batteries, direct methanol fuel cells, and battery packages for electric storage. His work involves the development of new electrode materials for lithium ion batteries, new catalysts for fuel cells, polymer electrolytes, electrode kinetics, the structure of porous electrodes, and new techniques for battery characterization. Prof. Qiu holds a B.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, obtained in 1988 and 1994, respectively.
