Regular biography
Associate Prof. Xiao Liang is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. He was born in 1973 and obtained his BS in 1996 and Ph.D. in 2001, both from the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University. He was appointed as a lecturer at Tsinghua University and later served as a research scientist at the School of Optics, University of Central Florida, from 2003 to 2004. Currently, he is an associate professor at Tsinghua University. His research interests include liquid crystal materials and liquid crystal display, with a focus on synthesis and formulation of liquid crystal compounds and mixtures, alignment materials for LCD, and new display modes. He has undertaken several national projects, including three national high-tech '863' projects and one National Development and Reform Commission industrialization project.
