Regular biography
Dr. Qun Zhou is a Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on the applications of molecular vibrational spectroscopy, particularly infrared and Raman spectroscopy, in complex systems. Her work includes the rapid identification of pathogenic microorganisms, macroscopic quality control of traditional Chinese medicines and foodstuffs, and the identification of cultural relics. Dr. Zhou has published over 100 papers and authored four books, and she holds three patents. Selected publications include studies on the hydrophobicity of ionic liquids and the use of spectroscopy for the analysis of herbal products.
