Lei Liu

Prof. Lei Liu is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. He joined the university in 2007 as a professor. His research interests include synthetic bioorganic chemistry, with a focus on chemical synthesis and modification of proteins, as well as catalytic synthesis of bioactive small molecules. Prof. Liu graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1999 and earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2004. He completed post-doctoral research at the Scripps Research Institute from 2004 to 2007. His work has been published in several prestigious journals, including ChemBioChem and the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
