Regular biography
Lei Jiao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on mechanistic studies using physical organic methods to address fundamental problems in organic chemistry and to overcome challenges in organic synthesis through rational molecular design. His current research interests include N-boryl pyridyl anion chemistry and the design of cooperative ligands for Pd catalysis. Jiao has published extensively in leading chemistry journals, including the Journal of the American Chemical Society and Angewandte Chemie. He has received several awards, including the Young Investigator Award in Physical Organic Chemistry from the Chinese Chemical Society in 2023 and the Newcomer Award in Physical Organic Chemistry in 2017.
