Haohong Duan

Haohong Duan is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on the development of electro- and photoelectro-catalytic systems for coupling hydrogen evolution with value-added anodic reactions, contributing to the sustainability of green hydrogen and chemical production. Duan has published over 70 papers as first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as Nature Catalysis, Nature Synthesis, and the Journal of the American Chemical Society. He is also an editor and author of a book on photocatalysis using 2D nanomaterials. Duan has received several awards, including the Distinguished Young Scholars of China and the Green Tech Award. He is currently the principal scientist in the National Key R&D Program of China and serves on various editorial boards.
