Regular biography
XU Ming is a Faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research interests include the behavior of sand containing gas hydrate, soil-structure interaction, tunneling engineering, and the micro-behavior of granular materials. He has conducted extensive research on the interaction between soil and underground structures, including projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. XU has published numerous papers in leading geotechnical and geomechanics journals, focusing on topics such as the mechanical behavior of granular materials, underground pipeline responses, and the stability of rockfill embankments. His work has contributed to advancements in geotechnical engineering and underground construction.
