Regular biography
SHI Gang is a Tenured Full Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research interests include high strength steel structures, strengthening and retrofitting of steel structures, prefabricated steel structures, and seismic behavior of steel structures. He has supervised numerous doctoral and master's theses and has been recognized with several awards, including the Top Prize of Science and Technology of China Steel Construction Society and the Distinguished Young Scholar Programme of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is also actively involved in the development of national and industry codes and serves on various editorial and professional committees.
