Regular biography
NIE Xin is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research interests include steel-concrete composite structures, structural dynamics, and finite element methods. He has led several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research Program. NIE has also received multiple awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the Tencent XPLORER PRIZE. He is actively involved in professional societies and editorial boards, contributing to the advancement of civil engineering research and education.
