LU Xinzheng

LU Xinzheng is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research interests include intelligent design for engineering structures, integrated urban disaster prevention, and numerical simulation methods for engineering structures. He has led several national and provincial research projects, including work on earthquake disaster chain effects and disaster resilience of dense urban building clusters. He has also received numerous awards, including the J. M. Ko Award in 2024 and the National Science and Technology Progress Award of China in 2018. He is an Editor-in-Chief of the Engineering Mechanics journal and serves on various editorial boards for international journals. He teaches courses such as Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete and Catastrophology for graduate students.
